Coats for Kids – Unemployed Help Centre
Coats for Kids is a community campaign run by the Unemployed Help Centre in Windsor, Ontario which urges companies and individuals to dig into their closets and donate their warm clothing to children in need. Over the month of October, our Plasman Group North American headquarters and our Build-A-Mold division encouraged employees to take part by donating any new or used coats, hats, scarves and gloves to this great initiative.
The Unemployed Help Centre of Windsor Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to meeting the needs of vulnerable people living in Windsor and Essex County. The UHC improves the quality of lives by providing needed programs and services that move people to independence.
Employees responded in a big way donating a total of 66 coats, 10 pairs of ski pants and various hats, scarves and gloves. As a thank you, each employee who donated to the campaign was given a ballot to be entered to win a $100 gift card to The Keg Steakhouse. With the campaign coming to an end on October 31st, we announced the winner. Congratulations to Tania Richards!
Thank you again to all employees who took part! Your donations to this program help many families in need in Windsor-Essex County who are not able to purchase necessities like these.
