AP Plasman Windsor Plant 1 Donates to Marlborough Public School’s Breakfast Club!
In celebration of the facility’s 20th anniversary, donations came flooding in by employees of Windsor Plant 1 for the West Windsor Marlborough Public School’s Breakfast Club.
On Monday, October 24th, 2016, employees Ricardo Tate, Karen Sherlock, Danielle Habas and Tracy Stephens took a pick-up truck full of cereals, pancake mix, syrup, granola bars, juice and a $200 Fresh Co gift card to the school. The students were very grateful and eager to take charge in bringing all the items into their kitchen area.
Marlborough Public School not only does a breakfast program, but also a luncheon program for its students. No one is turned away. The Grade 7 & 8 students are taught life skills of shopping within a budget at a partnering grocery store, following a recipe, proper food handling and preparation of each meal. The skills they learn are encouraged to be used in their homes and to continue in their culinary studies as they move into high school.
“So exciting to hear about the opportunities that are offered at Marlborough Public School and to be part of the AP Plasman Windsor Plant 1 team that has contributed to their success.”
